Physicians and
Medical Staff
William
A. Zimmern Jr., M.D. Dr. Zimmern has
practiced family medicine since 1976. He has been in
Gulf Breeze since 1980. Dr. Zimmern did his
undergraduate work at Vanderbilt University, medical
school at the University of South Florida and
residency in family practice at Tallahassee Memorial
Hospital. Since 1979 Dr. Zimmern has been a
Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice
and Fellow of the American Academy of Family
Practice.
Karen
A. Pennington, M.D. Dr. Pennington has been
practicing internal medicine since 1984. Dr.
Pennington is a graduate of the University of
Mississippi School of Medicine, and did her
internship and residency in Internal Medicine at
University Hospital in Jackson Mississippi. Dr.
Pennington is a Diplomate of the American Board of
Internal Medicine.
David
P. Kellen, M.D. Dr. Kellen has practiced
family medicine since 1997. Dr. Kellen graduated
from Tulane University and completed his medical
degree at Louisiana State University School of
Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Kellen did his
internship at the Medical University of South
Carolina at Charleston and his residency in Family
Medicine at Bayfront Medical Center in St.
Petersburg Florida. Dr. Kellen is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Family Medicine and is Chief of
Medicine at Gulf Breeze Hospital.
Richard
S. Matthews, Jr. M.D. Dr Matthews has practiced Family
Medicine in Gulf Breeze since 1985. Dr. Matthews
graduated from Eckerd College and completed his medical
degree at the University
of Florida, College of Medicine. Dr. Matthews completed his Internship
& Residency at the University of South Alabama. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and since
1993 is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine.
Julie
H. Baltz, MHS, PA-C Mrs. Baltz has been a
Physician Assistant since 1998. Ms. Balts holds a
Masters in Health Science, Physician Assistant
Studies from the University of South Alabama. Ms.
Baltz is licensed to practice and prescribe in the
State of Florida and is certified by NCCPA. Ms.
Baltz is a member of AAPA and FAPA
Susanne
C. Meaney, ARNP, CDE Mrs. Meaney was a
critical care nurse for 10 years prior to becoming a
Family Nurse Practitioner in 1996. She graduated
from the University of Alabama, Birmingham Nurse
Practitioner Program in 1996. She is also certified
as a Diabetes Educator, a member of the American
Diabetes Association and is certified by the
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
